Counselling Services

My approach to my work is Person Centred, where through the process of developing a trusting relationship between you and me, we can explore together what might be troubling you, thus enabling you to gain greater clarity about your life and increase your personal awareness.

I do not give advice but work with you collaboratively, in a genuine way so that you can find your own way to making increased personal choices about your own life.

My core model is Person Centred, with an integrative approach meaning, I am able to work with a number of theoretical models. I believe that contracting for supervision is an ongoing two-way process, the foundation of which is a good working alliance.

"The work of the supervisor is to show that the work is ongoing, that there is no way, that one never knows for sure the experience of the other, and that it is in the mutual participation of discovering the essential quality of the client that the healing takes place." (Shainberg, 1983, p.164)

"Supervision is the process through which therapists explore their work with clients in a non-managerial environment with a supportive and experienced colleague." (Merry, 2001, p.174)

I provide Supervision for Qualified Counsellors and Trainee Counsellors and groups within organisations private practice and in-house in colleges and universities.
